As per the URL

We have a reasonable network, peered at the Uni, but not offering
Internet Access. We've been approached by three ISP's to offer
such a service, but we're wary of support issues.
We now have arrangements with two Comms towers on the largest mountain
and will be putting some fibre optic cabling between the two sites.
We'll then have about 7 channels used on Mt Stuart, using location,
direction, polarization and channel spacing to avoid interference.
We are running linux routers using Zebra with ospf (for clients)
and bgp for the core (resiliancy). We also use htb shaping to share
out the bandwidth of the AP's as equitably as possible, and are
also trialling frottle (from e3 in WA).
The next meeting of the Townsville WiFi group is Monday night, 7pm
at Demountable C, Douglas Campus, JCU - refer to the groups homepage
