Using Suse8 ( and 7.3) I have my orinoco dropping out every now and then,
usually around every 10 mins or so
2.4.18-SMP
this is the sort of error that Im getting
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: eth0: Error -16 transmitting packet
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: hermes @ 0x100: CMD register busy in
hermes_issue_command().
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: eth0: Error -16 transmitting packet
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: eth0: Tx timeout! Resetting card.
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: hermes @ 0x100: CMD register busy in
hermes_issue_command().
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: hermes @ 0x100: Frame allocation command failed
(0xFFFFFFF0).
May 9 13:49:23 pooter kernel: eth0: Error -16 resetting card on Tx timeout!
May 9 13:49:27 pooter kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
May 9 13:49:27 pooter kernel: eth0: Tx timeout! Resetting card.
It happens usually when Im playing MP3's from my server and browsing the net
at the same time.
If I use the wavelan.com drivers I dont get this problem but I am trying to
stick closely to Suse8.0 out of the box this time.
Does anyone know what is likely to be causing this ??
