[Samba] samba4.2.0 crashes on connection attempt with an internal samba error...

Blame freedesktop.org and LSB 3.x for *that* Design(s).
Near All Distro Maintainters follow that way ... more or less ..
... I agree that some of the Designs are looks stupid - but this are offtopic samba.

/var/run is an symlink of /run on jessie (debian 8.x).

creating sufficent symlink(s) from /run to /usr/local/samba/var/run solve this on Jessie.

you'll discover  some more distro "Design Changes " after playing with samba4 on jessie ...
