I'm glad this has spawned a new round of opinions.

For what it's worth, I've started considering making each server a Xen 
server, and splitting them both up into a ADDC and a file server (two VMs).

And wouldn't you know it, Centos 6 seems to have dropped major support 
for Xen (that's what I've used before and have a little knowledge about).

So should I drop VMs or not?
