LINUX is the name of the server
The samba server is, I believe, a WINS server.

  What is that, and how would I do it?

I could post the smb.conf file.
I am using 4.1.9 (as in Fedora 20, latest updates).
I can say that it only started with the latest update about 2 months (or 
more ago) but I can't remember (or find from logs) what the last version 
was.
