[Samba] Frustrated...Samba on linux w/xfs SLOW problem

Well...I found a (not necessarily THE) solution to my problem.

I grabbed kernel 2.4.26, compiled it and tried it instead of the 2.6.5/7 kernels I had been using.

Voila...everything worked as it used to.

Just wanted everyone to know what I had found.

Thanks to everyone for their help, I appreciated all of your assistance.
