Have your read the Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf that shipped with
Samba-3.0.0? It will help you. You can obtain it from:

http://ftp.easynet.be/samba/docs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf

Amazon will start shipping the book version of this later this week. It is
called "The Official Samba-3 HOWTO and Reference Guide".

The book has a chapter "Fast Start: Cure for Impatience" that is full of
worked examples that you may benefit from also.
