[Samba] Help resolving Error...

Hi,
accross both versions of samba I've compiled for linux
with similar options
[for 2.2.4 the following was used]
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba --with-utmp --with-libsmbclient --with
-included-popt --with-acl-support --with-syslog --with-automount --with-smbm
ount

I get the following error, over and over and over... I looked at the source
and it's like the end all fail all call of checking privileges fails. I've
been trying to track down where this nobody user is being authenticated,
because I don't use it... like an IP would help, I've cranked up the debug
level but still haven't gotten anything useful... there's two more computers
on the network + the server, one of which remotely mounts a smb share, but I
believe should be using the username nick...
any suggestions on how I can rid my logs of this error would be appreciated.
