[Samba] How to setup backup-admin permissions

I have a about ten Win2k machines connecting to a Linux Samba 2.2.1a file
server.

There are ten users each with their own home directory. Additionaly there is a
'Public' share and a 'Accounting' share.

One of the Win2K machines is set to backup these mounted shares using a simple
shell script and Winzip. The user that these scripts execute as is a standard
samba user, he has a special share that only he can see which shows him all of
the home dirs.

The problem I'm having is that he can see the top level home directories fine,
but can't descend into them to back them up. What is the preferred way to setup
permissions for this user to be able to backup all the home dirs using his
special share? Can I set a special permissions mask in the share config, or do
I need to create a special samba_admin group, or ... ??

thanks in advance.

/R
