Compiling samba under RH 7

[Winston Nimchan]

I got it to compile. Apparently cvs was not downloading the correct
files. I got a tgz file as of Oct 3 and it works.

I installed the rpm binary...how can i replace/update this withe the
latest version that i'm now compiling?

You mean "./configure"?

What commands are not found?
Hm,
configure uses /bin/sh as shell, its very unlikly that you do not 
have this shell. But the errors look like this. Check your $PATH,

no real idea,
