Hi,

when booting, nmbd (being started as a deamon) crashes. In the log
file I find

[2001/01/01 14:33:44, 1] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(757)
  Netbios nameserver version 2.0.7 started.
  Copyright Andrew Tridgell 1994-1998
[2001/01/01 14:33:45, 0] lib/util_sock.c:open_socket_in(863)
  bind failed on port 137 socket_addr=192.168.117.1 (Cannot assign requested address)
[2001/01/01 14:33:45, 0] nmbd/nmbd_subnetdb.c:make_subnet(142)
nmbd_subnetdb:make_subnet()
  Failed to open nmb socket on interface 192.168.117.1 for port 137. Error was Cannot assign requested address
[2001/01/01 14:33:45, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(817)
  ERROR: Failed when creating subnet lists. Exiting.

Whe I start nmbd manually via swat, it's OK.

I'm using Debian (Potato) Linux. The subnet mentioned in the messages
is used for VMware.

Where should I look for the bug?

Thanks in advance,
