Hello,

I have a little question that, i think, has been sent many times before.

I have two machines under two different networks (stccs2 and stccs4).
They use samba 2.0.3.

When i look in the " network neighborhood " of my NT workstation, i can see
stccs2 but not stccs4. Why ?
I have this problem with other unix boxes.

Here are the beginnings of smb.conf files :

# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from swebs1 (199.0.1.16)
# Date: 2000/08/30 17:12:25

# Global parameters
        workgroup = NTDEV
        netbios name = STCCS2
        server string = Samba %v on host %h
        security = SERVER
        encrypt passwords = Yes
        password server = PSSICS1
        username map = /opt/samba/private/usersmap
        log level = 0
        log file = /var/opt/samba/log.%m
        max open files = 1014
        client code page = 437
        local master = No
        wins server = 146.11.1.5
        map archive = No
        oplocks = No

			----------------------------------------------------

[stccs4]{root}more smb.conf
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from p221277 (146.11.3.14)
# Date: 2000/08/04 14:59:32

# Global parameters
        workgroup = NTDEV
        netbios name = STCCS4
        server string = Samba %v on host %h
        security = SERVER
        encrypt passwords = Yes
        password server = PSSICS1
        username map = /usr/local/samba/private/usersmap
        log level = 0
        log file = /usr/local/samba/var/log.%m
        max log size = 500
        max open files = 1000
        client code page = 437
        local master = No
        wins server = 146.11.1.5
        create mask = 0774
        directory mask = 0775
        map archive = No

Thanks.
