Password

Hi,
  I've rencently tried configuring samba for my gateway. I access the
gateway from windows, and it seems to be configured properly. I can see the
gateway connected to the network, but when I try to access it, a password
prompt comes up and I am uncertain of the password. I've  checked the samba
config files and can find no trace of any password or user accounts.. Where
exactly are they, and how do I configure these passwords and users.. I would
sincerely appreciate any help you could give. Thank you
