questions about logs

I've configured our server to log all user connections to one file.

1. we don't have all of our clients entered into the DNS here, so the log
fills up w/ Gethostbyaddr failed for... Is there a way to turn off reverse
lookups?

2. I'm seeing a lot of these in the user logs. Is this normal and what is
the cause? smbd/process.c:timeout_processing(868) Reloading services after
SIGHUP.
