redhat / win2k woes

I used to have my redhat 6.0 and win2000 computers cooperating fine with
samba (personal lan). Recently I upgraded to redhat 6.2 and samba 2.0.7
and I have been unable to get them working again.

As it stands now, each comp can see and browse it's own directories. All
tcp connections between them work fine. The linux box can view and browse
the win2k shares fine.

Whenever I try "net view \\linuxbox" (with correct server name of course),
I get:
System error 5 has occurred.
Access is denied.

I just took the smb.conf sample that came with 2.0.7, added a share, and
changed workgroup and hosts allow (192.168.1.). It's user level security
and the user names and passwords are the same on both computers.

I remember it being much easier last time to get this working. There must
be some crucial bit I'm missing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
