filtering files using samba ?

hi,

We currently have the following situation:
There are a number of people producing word documents which are converted to 
html for publication on our intranet using a commercial word to html 
conversion tool.

Now I was wondering whether it was possible to run samba on our server and to 
have the samba server convert the documents.

Ideally we'd have a mime like configuration file which contains lines like:
"*.doc application/x-word word2html %s"

Is this at all possible within the smb protocol?
