nbtstat doesn't show MAC address for samba servers

Only if you're on the same subnet.  If not all you'll get is the MAC
address of the router out of your subnet towards the server.


Solution:  put your client in the same subnet as your server.  This is
not always possible though for the normal IP addressing reasons.
