Windows 95/98 passwords

Hi, I see this has been discussed to death but does anybody
have a solution to the 95/98 user password problems?

I have tried the password level, and all other suggestions and
end up with one of two errors in the log file with debug to 4.
It works great from smbclient with multiple users and passwords.

1. Invalid username/password for xxx
2. error string  = No such file or directory.

I am running samba 2.0 on Solaris 2.5.1.
