\NETLOGON ERRpipebusy (All instances busy)

My samba is authenticating against a WinCenter (WinNT 3.51 derivative) PDC. 
Around 500 connected Samba users I'm getting the following errors. Is there 
a hard limit to be expected? Samba's, Linux' or WinNT's ?
