samba2beta5 problems

First I can't compile it on my Linux 2.1.132 system:

checking configure summary
ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config

Second, samba doesn't handle service with more than 13 characters
correctly, eg, my computer name is UTUMNO and I have a service named
music_soundtrack. smbclient displays 'music_soundtr' instead of
'music_soundtrack'.
