error: "A remote procedure call (RPC) protocol error occurred."

On a NT machine in our network we get "A remote procedure call (RPC)
protocol error occurred." when trying to map smb drives from linux
2.2.11 + samba 2.0.5a. 

The NT machine is 4.0 + SP 5. 

Anyone seen this before? This has so far occurred only on one nt
machine. All other machines work ok.
