question about broken connections

Hi Fellow SambaUsers,

Just wondering if anyone's seen this before, and if so, do you know what 
it's caused by?

After some period of time, I'll click on the network neighborhood and 
occasionally one of the samba machines won't show up. The daemons will 
still be running on the unix box, but NT or Win98 doesn't see the box. 
Sometimes all unix machines aren't seen (all daemons, smbd and nmbd, 
will still be running). In one case, our whole samba domain was gone, 
daemons still running.

It seems like I have to stop/restart the daemons every day. This seems 
to get the pc's to recognize the unix machines again.

If anyone has any ideas, please drop me a line if you'd be so kind.
