SAMBA Compiling problems

Hi Every one !

Is there any documentation available to customize the compilation of SAMBA.
Some of the flags with definitions are listed in Makefile but I could not find
the definition of some of them. IS there a document available that can tell
which flags to use in make file for different situations ? . I am trying to
compile Samba on Redhat Linux 5.0 with Shadow password , PAM and NO NIS
support.
