set_share_mode error

I just set up my Samba Server with a SMB client using Win 95 and I have
been playing around testing different things. I have checked my log file
and I get the following error everytime I open a file

Error: set_share_mode: failed to ftruncate share mode file
/usr/local/samba/var/locks/share.10223647.352872 to size 48 (permission
denied)

I changed the directory permissions to 777 just to see if anything
changed by I still get the error.

Is this error something I should be worried about?
