	Er, what is the exact question????

	From what you've written, it sounds like you're asking
	if Samba preseves Unix file creation/deletion/read/write
	semantics...
			NFS	Samba
	Create/delete	yes	yes
	Read		yes	yes
	Write		no	yes

	It has trouble preserving *DOS* semantics, as it has to
	translate them into Unix attributes. 

	Are you planning to use Samba in place of NFS on
	a Unix client????
