changing win95 passwords after linux passwd changed

i didn't see this in any documentation and it just came up as
a possible problem.
  The person logging into the samba server with netlogon (from
a win95 client) changed his password on the samba server.
Windows will validate this password with the samba server, but
then asks for the windows password. Is there a way to keep this
from happening?
