PDC, NIS and getting rid of an NT server

Hi all!

you can do it, yes! Getting rid of the NT Server and authenticate
your users with a Unix machine! have a look at

This is a slightly modified NISGINA that includes a very well done config
tool. I did set it up here and it works great. It takes less than one minute
per client to set up, once a common profile is saved on a shared drive (well
if the client is booted and you are logged in as Admin...)

With NISGINA you can even syncronize the .../samba/private/smbpasswd file
with the NIS passwd table.
