Hello Alpha VMS Samba users,

I'm running Samba V2.0.3 Binaries on Alpha VMS 7.2-1 with UCX (TCPIP) Ver
5.1 ECO-2.

The binaries all Linked okay and installed without problems and the NMBD
and SMBD_1 and SMBD_2 processes all started - however the smbd_1
process stops soon after with the error:

"Internet ACP Error during process startup, Nolisten Service Disabled -
SMBD Server" on the system console.

If I try to connect to the samba server from a Windows 95 client the above
error occurs again after entering the password and the smbd_2 process stops.

This disables the smbd service stopping any client connections. What is the
cause of this error - what have I done wrong?

the log.smb file contains:

[2001/11/21 12:14:37, 1]
DSA1:[KITS.SAMBA-2_0_3.SOURCE.SMBD]SERVER.C;2:(638)

the log.nmb file contains (after stopping it):

[2001/11/21 11:08:40, 1]
DSA1:[KITS.SAMBA-2_0_3.SOURCE.NMBD]NMBD.C;1:(672)

DSA1:[KITS.SAMBA-2_0_3.SOURCE.NMBD]NMBD.C;1:(703)

I can't see what's wrong. any ideas would help.

Regards,
