Yes.  You're doing quite well.  I've seen as many as 19 repeats of the same
query.

You've already noticed that it is Explorer that is generating the repeat
queries.  Try 'dir' from a DOS shell and you'll notice how much cleaner it
is (well... to be fair it's not trying to read icons and such-like).
