samba password length

Hi,

I am running samba2.2.1a on a solaris 2.8 machine. When I am trying to access shares from a win2k or winNT machine,its failing if the samba password is more than 8 characters and has no problems with password being less than 8 characters.


I would really appreciate any thoughts regarding this issue.
