Adding a Samba User

I know I know this sounds like a simple thing but I just up graded to samba
2.2 and I just tried adding a user and I am not getting anywhere. If anybody
can help me out with this it would be great! The command that I tried to use
was smbassuser and smbaddusr and neither one worked.
