So what is the output of winbindd when you do the 'wbinfo -t'? Try
running 'winbindd -d3 -i' to wind up the debugs and print debugs
to standard output. I get something like this:

Did you remove the .tdb files? I always find that's safest when

The appliance_tng is the most stable version of winbind at this
stage.
