need "count" of number of users, groups and local groups

any suggestions on this, other than either "hamming" it (hard-coding some
numbers) or "count the number of entries"?

is it reasonable to put the number of entries at the top of
private/smbpasswd plus an encoded modified date (a bit like the wins.dat
version info).  if the encoded modified date doesn't match the time/date
stamp on the file, private/smbpasswd is locked, and num_entries is
updated.

this is for "SamrQueryDomainInfo" - opcode 0x08, which when implemented, i
found that "enumaliases" already existed so it goes through to the groups
dialog.

which probably means that win95 user-level security is going to get a bit
further, if anyone wants to tru it.
