profiles don´t get saved properly

Hi,

I have a samba tng pdc controlling a windows nt domain.
client domain login works fine, but if a user changes e.g. his
desktop background color it is not restored the next login, folders
on the desktop are restored as they should.

Could you tell me...

first, how to configure the samba server not to store profiles, but
leave them on the clients.

second, how to get all of the user setup saved properly e.g. desktop 
settings...
