code page does not exist

I have inquired about this before, but got no response.  I am using the
TNG-alpha version of samba right out of cvs.  I get the error message

[2000/11/20 16:20:05, 0] lib/charset.c:load_client_codepage(215)
  load_client_codepage: filename
/usr/local/samba-tng/lib/codepages/codepage.000
 does not exist.

in the log.samedit file.  I heard solutions to this might be to list a
code page in smb.conf like

   client code page = 850

However that does not work for me.  Anyone have a fix?
