RSync and translation

I have a directory like this on box Y...
ALBERT
BRADLEY
CHARLEY

and I want rsync to transfer and translate this
into...
A/ALBERT
B\BRADLEY
C\CHARLEY
on box Z


Without altering the original directory.  Can this be
done?
