I photograph people for reference. Atop which I trace colour-contours. 
Filling with colour areas so defined. Then blending and adding a 
signature panel.

I found the tracing and colouring tedious! Though I recall coloured 
fringes as a side-effect of JPEG compression. Is there an easier way to 
turn a photo into a painting?
