Hi Paul

This may be a "MMMMM" event which usually results in my getting
splinters in the finger tips from the head scratching. I'm mindfull of
the issue with Myth Tuning that Fred Pilcher has commented on recently
in these pages.

If it's of any help, I have a spare dual tuner card (DVICO Dual Digital
2) which works OTB on the more recent kernels. I could easily bring
this along to install fest with a view to your popping it in to the
offending machine and see if this resolves the issue before you look to
spend on hardware which may or may not solve the problem

Let me know your thoughts

Regards
