[clug] Editing PDF Documents

Hi all,

Every once in a while I need to edit the text of a PDF document and save the 
updated document also as a PDF.

On this occasion I installed the free PDF document manipulation program 
PDFedit V0.4.1 to do the job as I run Linux and Adobe don't yet sell Acrobat 
for linux.

While PDFedit appears to be comprehensive in its scope, sadly I found it less 
than intuitave in its usability.

Has anybody managed even the most modest text edit/update of a PDF document 
using PDFedit and if so would they offer me some insight how?

Also I have tried Kword but the updated document lost some of it's formating 
in the transition.

Your advise would be most welcome.
