Testify brother Chris! :)   I for one am all for eye candy, yes it
might slow things down but I dont care so long as it doesn't affect
me.

Ditto, the miniature windows on the task bar and with the alt-tab and
super-tab switcher thingo in compiz are invaluable to me.  Same goes
for scale (press button, roll mouse to zoom in).

Keep it up compiz people!  I just wish my old home machine (T42 with
ATI thing) supported compositing on dual monitors. :(
