Yeah, Chris, I remember :-)

I still think the Kororaa project as you described it has a place in the
Gentoo world.  And I would definitely say that Kororaa is what showed many
Linux enthusiasts (including me) that compositing desktop effects were
definitely possible in Linux on ordinary hardware.
