Hello all,

 

We are a Melbourne based consulting business starting an office in
Canberra and looking for a system administrator and application support
staff to service government customers.  By the way - this isn't a spam -
I checked with the list owner first.

 

System / Application Administrator Wanted:

Role:  Administration of RH Linux server, database, and application
suite of collaboration tools.. The role includes oOn-going system
management, performance testing & tuning, administration. Also change &
release management (of changes through Dev, Test, Staging & Production).
Some java development work if you are interested but not a required
skill. In the near future some Web Services implementation using Sun
Glassfish / Open ESB. Also some limited customer on-site work..  Lots of
fun things to play with an opportunities to learn new things.

Skills: Unix / Linux / Tomcat / Apache platform. PostGres / mySQL
database. Confluence wiki, jForum, JIRA..  Some java skills nice to
have.  Awareness of networking & firewall config is useful but that work
is done by the ISP.  Windows Server / AD / IIS platform also nice to
have but not essential. 

Other requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen because some systems
require federal government security clearance.

Conditions: Full time preferred but part time also possible, based in
Canberra - Barton area. Salary competitive and negotiable depending on
skills & experience.
