I work with a guy who used to be a gyro technician for the RAAF.

One day as I was talking to him he looked at my laptop quizzically and put
his ear down next to it. He stood up again and told me that the bearings in
my laptop drive were failing and I should replace it now. Who was I to say
no? I turned it off straight away and went down to the shop to buy a
replacement drive.
