I downloaded Feisty Fawn and did a clean in stall on my HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop. The difference over Edgy Eft is remarkable. All the problems I'd had are gone, the teevee card worked far, far better than it does in Vista, and I was able to install the proprietary Nvidia drivers easily. I've even managed to get the bluetooth mouse working, though not consistently and not from boot - apprarently this is a known bug that's been around for a long time. No luck yet on the inbuilt webcam, but both of those are trivial issues.

I haven't managed to get Beryl working yet, but that's just a toy and something I can play with at leisure.

Feisty is a wonderful update. It's a little early to be certain yet, but I think it's converted me from Open SuSE.
