[clug] Selling a PC and getting a laptop

i'm using a pioneer notebook running gentoo at the moment and
everything has been great - no problems to report yet (none hardware
wise anyway).

i chose pioneer because there was no operating system preinstalled and
i could customize the notebook (e.g. put 2gb RAM in - hard to do with
a brand name without taking the price through the roof).

assuming they know how to put laptops together and to do it fairly
well, the only hardware issues will be compatability problems.. and
since you can find out (and choose) exactly what hardware goes into
your pioneer computer, if you do your linux research well you should
be able to guarantee a hassle free experience =)
