[clug] Nice custom wallpapers

I would like to make some custom desktop backgrounds from my own
personal photos, automatically, maybe have it change once a day or so. 
Does anyone know of anything that comes close to doing this?

The best I can find is WebCollage [http://www.jwz.org/webcollage/], but
it's hellbent on scouring the big bad internet rather than, say a
directory or a certain website.  Plus it's not the most pretty looking.

Ideally I would love something 3D-ish, like a Blender script that has a
number of scenes, and inserts photos in some abstract, semi-random way. 
If I can't find anything better, I might be enticed to tinker.
