Subject: TransACT at CLUG this month

|
| With the upcoming enabling of free peer-peer connections on the
| TransACT network (end of this month), I have taken it upon myself
| to invite Robin Eckermann (Chief Network Architect) and one or two
| of the folk at TransACT who are involved in the peer-peer work
| to come and give a presentation at CLUG this month (22nd, I hope).
|
| They will discuss how the peer-peer network will be setup, how to
| access it, some ideas of things that it may be used for, etc.
| Of course, there will be ample opportunity for questions, but please
| try and keep these courteous as these guys are coming as our guests.
| They may even cover some of the many obstacles that they have come
| across in rolling out a world-class metropolitan area network (MAN).
|
| I hope that we can fit this presentation in with Martin Schwenke's
| talk on Haskell and functional programming.
|
| I hope that many of you will find it interesting and relevant to
| Linux and Open Source.
|
| Cheers,
|
| Bob Edwards.
