With the upcoming enabling of free peer-peer connections on the
TransACT network (end of this month), I have taken it upon myself
to invite Robin Eckermann (Chief Network Architect) and one or two
of the folk at TransACT who are involved in the peer-peer work
to come and give a presentation at CLUG this month (22nd, I hope).

They will discuss how the peer-peer network will be setup, how to
access it, some ideas of things that it may be used for, etc.
Of course, there will be ample opportunity for questions, but please
try and keep these courteous as these guys are coming as our guests.
They may even cover some of the many obstacles that they have come
across in rolling out a world-class metropolitan area network (MAN).

I hope that we can fit this presentation in with Martin Schwenke's
talk on Haskell and functional programming.

I hope that many of you will find it interesting and relevant to
Linux and Open Source.

Cheers,

Bob Edwards.
