Techniques that are not dependent on manufacturer/model:
  - Don't connect antennas
  - Use Faraday cage or wall
  - Use wired network instead of wireless

By leaving the antennas off the cards (if they have them), you can  
reduce the range of some devices (such as a Linksys WRT54G) to the  
order of 10m. Wifi equipment is very sensitive and will do its best  
to find a connection, so you will have to combine antenna amputation  
with some other option.

Using a panel of metal flyscreen attached to a frame can form a  
barrier to the Wifi signal. Failing that, just find some sheet metal.  
Office dividers covered in flyscreen will work wonders when it comes  
to isolating radios from each other.

I'm not a microwave engineer, so I have no clue what sizes are  
appropriate - I just know that a large expanse of mesh (eg: screen  
door between two rooms) in between two Wifi radios can totally  
obliterate the signal.
