Hi,

I am trying to get the orinoco silver card running on my laptop running red hat

7.3. I had read that the card works with the default kernel (2.4.18-3) and built-in

pcmcia card services. However when I insert the card, the card does not get an IP

address. I have created a ifcfg-eth1 file under /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. I have

modified the ESSID field in wireless.opts to point to the SSID of my AP (WEP is off,

so I commented the KEY field). I have downgraded the firmware to 6.06. iwconfig

eth1 gives me the MAC address of the AP that I am associated with, but after a few

minutes it shows 00:00:00:00:00:00.

dmesg shows that IRQs are being shared. Could that be the problem? If yes,

how do I resolve it? Also in pcmcia file, PCIC is yenta_socket, should I change it to

i82.... dmesg's output is below. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rakesh
